Welcome to Little Treasures

Little Treasures Day Nursery opened in 2006 and is part of Wheeler Primary School and the HCAT family.

The Nursery is based within Rainbow Centre and also uses the school site. We provide care for children aged 0-5 years, with children accessing day-care, 2- year-old funding and the 3 year old 30 hour funding.

We are currently rated ‘Good’ with OfSTED and strive daily to further develop our practice and provision, whilst maintaining our high standards. We work closely with the children and their families to tailor their care, learning and development to their individual needs.

At Little Treasures, we pride ourselves on having committed and highly skilled staff and currently have a team of 16 Early Years Practitioners, who are all are fully qualified Level 3 Practitioners. A number of the staff team have also also completed a degree in Early Childhood Studies and a further 2 are qualified teachers

Opening Times

We are open Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 6pm. We are closed for all Bank Holidays and for 2 weeks over Christmas. We pride ourselves on being flexible and will always attempt to work with families meet their childcare needs, such as working around varying shift patterns or children attending term time only. Prospective parents are welcome to come and visit the setting at any time. We do however ask that you do not visit over our busy lunch times, which are; 11.30am -1.30pm.

Reminders

• Barnaby Bear is always looking for a home for the weekend; don’t forget to ask a member of staff if you would like to take him home!
• We operate a library system within the setting, children are invited to choose a book to take home and share with their family.
• We have a wide range of books and stories, please ask a member of staff about this! We also have some books available to buy for £1 in the entrance hall.
